Starting in early 2024, adjustments will be made to the English-language proficiency criteria for Australian visas:
- The IELTS score required for the Temporary Graduate Visa will be raised from 6.0 to 6.5.
- The mandated score for the Student Visa will see an increase from 5.5 to 6.0.
- As for students commencing courses with an English-language training provider (ELICOS), the necessary score will shift from 4.5 to 5.0.
- For students entering university foundation or pathway programs, the requisite score will be set at 5.5.
